This year, [DISTRICT NAME] has partnered with Impacter Pathway to pilot a Behavioral Health Screener that uses student language insights to strengthen our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This effort is part of California's Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI), which expands school-based wellness supports statewide.

What students will do: During a scheduled check-in session, students will complete a brief (10 to 15 minute) reflection activity, responding to age-appropriate prompts about their conflict resolution skills, relational awareness, emotional resilience, and general well-being. Students may respond via written or spoken reflection, and their results help our MTSS teams identify learners who may benefit from additional support and connect them to the right resources at the right time.

How information is used: Student responses are analyzed to generate behavioral health indicators that support school staff in planning universal, targeted, or individualized supports. When follow-up is indicated, school staff will use established protocols to contact families and coordinate appropriate next steps.
